Public sector billing for water billing is undergoing some significant consolidation right now. Systems & Software was taken over by Harris Computer Systems, which at last count had 13 public sector billing applications in its portfolio. SAP is lurking, as always, although the problems reported with its implementation in Dallas don't tell a great story. And then there's Infor's Hansen product, the Web version of which is now in production in tiny Sherwood, OR as well as under way at SAWS (San Antonio), TX.
